Staff Civil Engineer
Location:  Houston, TX

Job Description
Our Civil Infrastructure Group is seeking a motivated, degreed Civil Engineer with a desire to grow professionally in this career opportunity.


The Staff Civil Engineer will participate in engineering design activities, under the direction of experienced, licensed Professional Engineers on infrastructure projects. As projects progress toward the construction phase the Staff Civil Engineer will participate in the development of construction drawings and specifications, and will gain exposure to construction administration and management.

Job activities may include:
Design of infrastructure such as grading, drainage, underground utilities, access roads and paving
Design of steel structures such as pipe supports, pipe bridges
Design of concrete structures:  abutments, wing walls, equipment foundations
Field Inspection of bridges and preparation of inspection reports

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in civil engineering
E.I.T. certification
2 to 4 years design experience in site grading, earthwork, storm drainage, roads and paving
Good oral and written communication skills
Well organized and detail oriented
STAAD.Pro skills a plus
AutoCAD skills a plus

Marine Structural Engineer
Contract Position
Location:  Houston, TX

Job Description
Marine Structural Engineer with strong design background in ship docks, barge docks, bulkheads, mooring and breasting dolphins, and fender systems.  Candidate must be a self-starter capable of designing marine structures and their foundations.

Job activities may include:
Prepares accurate and complete design calculations and sketches
Provides direction and details to designers for CADD development of marine structures design drawings
Prepares input to technical specifications and bid documents for marine structures components of projects.
Conducts field investigations when needed. 
Produces field reports with detailed sketches.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Marine, Civil, or Structural Engineering
Registered Professional Engineer, Texas
10 years minimum hands/on marine structures engineering design experience, including design of foundations
Strong analytical and design skills in advanced structural design of marine structures including their foundations. 
Strong knowledge of codes and standards related to marine structures design. 
Good knowledge of wave and current loadings and mooring and berthing systems.
Proficient in STAAD.Pro, L-Pile, MathCAD and related programs
Experience working with other disciplines understanding their interface requirements
Strong time management abilities. 
Good verbal and written communications skills
